Barfleur
Classed amongst one of the most prettiest villages of France, Barfleur was up until the 100th year war one of the most important ports of Normandy.
Barfleur remains today a flourishing seaport for fishermen.
Monfarville church
This church was built in 1763 of local white granit. An important collection of fine arts can be seen. For example a polychrome statue of Mary and child. Here too are paintings by Guillaume Fouace a local artist. An autoportrait of the same artist can be seen in the maritime museum on the Ile of tatihou.
Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue and Ile de Tatihou
Seaport and fishing harbour, Saint Vaast La Hougue is a seaside resort very much appreciated for its vast beaches.
Ile de Tatihou. A small island situated 1.400 metres from the main coast, accessible by boat or by foot at low tide. A wild bird reserve and botanical gardens as well as a maritime museum can be found here. Mid august thousands of people visit this island to gather for an international music festival held each year.
